Mpavillion Dockland

 Infinite Parasite

Mpavillion Dockland, 2021

Interactive workshop space for simultaneous multiple collaborative actions. This project used the framework of Amanda Levetes 2015 outdoor pavilion to create a series of internal spaces for interactive experimentation and play which was activated through a series of open drop-in workshops with the public. Activities included flower/plant printing, weaving, structure making, and fabric-based shelter construction incorporating bamboo, magnets and recycled fabrics. Strange and exciting intervening creatively with the existing architecture with a colourful growth of yarn, bamboo and plant matter: weave, pound! The slow evolution of this magical parasite, improvised utopian collectivity. These workshops were designed for anyone who likes to make something unexpected, has an experimental spirit or is seeking a meditative experience OR maybe just to let the energy out!
