Collaboration with Hiroshi Fuji,
Celebration for the renewal open of Hammer Hall, Art Centre Melbourne, Victoria, 2011

DIY drop-in centre creating artworks from recycled materials sourced from the Arts Centre Melbourne and members of the public who were asked to bring in recycled materials. People were invited to drop in anytime and create artworks with the available materials. At the end of the project, all the work was moved to the Hamer Hall garden site to create a large recycled garden installation.

Slow Art Collective created a large-scale, cross-cultural community art project, an enchanted garden at Hamer Hall with renowned Japanese installation artist Hiroshi Fuji who took up residency at Arts Centre Melbourne. Setting up the workshop tent in the heart of the Melbourne Art precinct, Kaeru’s final installation took place to celebrate of the renewal of Hamer Hall.
